rooms, corners, and details
we loved creating

Here’s a peek at some of the favorite spaces we’ve created - and the thought process behind them.

make it a moment

This is a corner in the bedroom at Alpine Pass, one of Wilder at Hocking Hills’ modern cabins. We brought the outside in with layers of green and rust, live edge shelves, and plenty of natural light. Part moody. Part fun. All cozy.

mix metals

The kitchen at Alpine Pass (completed in 2023) features slab wood grained cabinet fronts, an open shelf, Zelige-style tile and mixed metals: a perfect formula for a contemporary kitchen with a little “oomph”.

evoke a feeling.

This is perhaps Shannon’s most favorite project to date - another tiny cabin in Hocking Hills, “Evermore Cottage”. Leathered quartzite countertops for a soapstone-like aesthetic set the tone, and brass brackets from Anthropoligie, copper pots (see pic at the top) from Europe…and plenty of thrifted knick knacks and artwork completed the English countryside cottage look beautifully.

Cabinet paint was Farrow and Ball Shaded White; walls were Farrow and Ball Slipper Satin.

take a risk

Powder rooms…libraries…playrooms…what do they have in common? They are all fun spaces to PLAY with design, color, pattern, and risk. We added picture frame moulding to this powder room to give it architectural detail. Then played on complimentary colors and picked a pink with peach undertones (Farrow and Ball Setting Plaster) to contrast the deep blue/green vanity. Brass details and a vintage print round out the vibe.

when in doubt - go classic

This breakfast nook is filled with character. Thrifted bentwood cane chairs painted black (except 1 - mid-project!), a ticking-stripe upholstered window seat, vintage wood sconces, and thrifted brass candlesticks all layer cozily around the star of the show: a new (but oh-so-classic) marble bistro top table. The space oozes French vibes and invites you to linger.
