The gut renovation — full kitchen, full bathrooms — was designed around what was already there. Authentic mid-century cabinet profiles, period-appropriate tile, and a color palette drawn from the era sit alongside the home's original details without competing with them. The result feels current without feeling like it forgot what it is. Elevated where it needed to be. Playful where it could afford to be.

Kate designed and GC'd the renovation herself — the same dual lens she brings to every Roundhouse R+R project. Design decisions made with an investor's eye, even on a home she lives in.
